The Oxford Dictionary defines dressage as “the art of riding and training a horse in a manner that develops obedience, flexibility, and balance.”

Dressage is a form of riding most closely associated with English disciplines. It emphasizes harmony, balance, and relaxation of the horse and rider to achieve proper biomechanics of movement.

At Serendipity Stables we are active members of the Central Tennessee Dressage Association, United States Dressage Federation, and United States Equestrian Federation utilizing their events and judges for competition and guidance.

Below is an inspirational video of the art of dressage being performed at the worlds highest olympic level. Don’t worry! Our lessons are fun, and taught at the riders ability level even if that is simply haltering your horse.
